Susan Pynchon founded Florida Fair Elections Coalition in 2004 and has observed and investigated numerous elections in Florida and around the United States over the past 15 years. Susan is now also working with John Brakey at AUDIT USA, joining John's efforts towards transparent, trackable and publicly verified elections. Susan's numerous speaking engagements have helped to educate Floridians about problems with electronic voting, voter suppression tactics, gerrymandering of congressional districts, influence by voting machine vendors, and other reform issues. Ms. Pynchon was featured in the Emmy-nominated, HBO documentary film, "Hacking Democracy," and has been interviewed by television, radio, and print media to discuss election issues. Ms. Pynchon was instrumental in bringing hand-marked paper ballots to Florida. She is a recipient of the Nelson Poynter Civil Liberties Award from the Florida American Civil Liberties Union for “defending voting rights in Florida,” an award presented annually to the person(s) who did the most in a given year to advance civil liberties in Florida.
