Sarah Jacqz grew up in Watertown and Newburyport, Massachusetts. She studied critical Geography at UMass Amherst, and was a member of the leadership team of the UMass Fossil Fuel Divestment campaign, and an Escalation Core leader in the national Divestment Student Network. She lives in Jamaica Plain, and works as Communications Organizer for the Boston Ujima Project, helping to build media and narrative infrastructure for liberated economies. She co-authored the Reinvest Report and helps cto oordinate a coalition to Divest Boston funds from prisons, fossil fuels and occupation and Reinvest in community-led visions of justice and wellbeing. Additionally, Sarah organizes with Resource Generation's Boston Chapter, to organize people with access to wealth and class privilege to move land, wealth and power to Black, Indigenous & POC-led social justice movements.
