Marina Sitrin is is a participant in, and writes about societies in movement. She is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at SUNY Binghamton. She is the the author of Horizontalism: Voices of Popular Power in Argentina; Everyday Revolutions: Horizontalism and Autonomy in Argentina; and co-author of They Can’t Represent US: Reinventing Democracy from Greece to Occupy. Her forthcoming book with UC Press delves into horizontal and self-organized movements from around the world, pushing the boundaries of contemporary social movement theory with societies in movement.
