Jerry Kann's consuming political project for many years has been helping to establish a new, *independent* political party of working people. He was an active member of the New York Metro Chapter of the (U.S.) Labor Party (1994-2000) and of the Green Party of New York State (2000-2009), as well as a veteran of three of Ralph Nader's presidential campaigns (2000, 2004 and 2008) and five of his own runs for New York City Council (three times as a Green and twice as a Populist). Currently he is a volunteer organizer for the New York City Chapter of the Movement for a People's Party. He invites thoughtful activists to read some of his articles at Populist Club of New York (Wordpress) and on OpEdNews.
