WBAI listener since the Sixties, elected from WBAI to national Pacifica board (twice) until termed out.. Candidate for upcoming elections for the local station board (if they are not cancelled).
Active in the new Pacifica and WBAI (from 2000) and now looking for all the supporters of the Pacifica mission to engage in our fight for survival. Active in the early campaign to free Mumia Abu Jamal, organizing for United Farmworkers in Philadelphia, active in workplace(college) ­­union and local (Upper West Side of NYC) antigentrification campaigns, the latter against Columbia University expansion, although my master’s degree is from Columbia U Teachers College. Work in public relations, editing, and teaching (English) in New York and Philadelphia (now retired).
